“After nearly 3 years of providing a live music venue for original musicians, it is with great sadness and more than a few tears in our eyes that today we announce the closing of attheshed.
“Since it’s inception in March 2004, the guys of PaceMaker (in particular Dee and Clark-e) have spent close to $80,000 in equipment and associated expenses to get/keep attheshed running. This doesn’t include the many hours for organising and working each event – all for a total return of about $4500.
“With this in mind, we’ve decided it is not financially viable and to shut the venue/rehearsal room down.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank the many fine and exciting original musicians who played or regularly rehearsed attheshed, the supporters who attended our events, all our media friends who helped with promotion and encouragement (etc) thank you – your support was much appreciated…”
As Dee, lead singer of PaceMaker informed us all.
On behalf of 8th Edge — thanks PaceMaker and attheshed for giving us a great venue to play at while it lasted… good times… good times…
